Mueller began volunteering with  the board of directors in January 2023, working closely with Board President Susie Munsey and Executive Director Christe LePeau on a number of key initiatives, including the annual Arizona Gives Day fundraiser and refining the organization’s communications strategy.

“Tracy has already bolstered the organization by helping donors better connect with our work through effective and compelling storytelling,” says LePeau. “I’m looking forward to leaning into Tracy’s vision for the future, which includes a plan to further diversify our funding sources in order to continue to expand our work in the community.”

Mueller spent nearly two decades working in higher education communications and marketing for the University of Texas and the University of Arizona. She was assistant dean for external communications and marketing at the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law from 2015 to 2022 before stepping down to focus on her three young children.

At the College of Law, Mueller led a team of four in managing the college’s branding, public relations, strategic communications, fundraising communications, recruitment marketing, website management and design, social media, and more.

“Seeds Community Center is a vital and unique resource for foster-kinship families in the Tucson area, and my goal as board president is to grow financial support for and community awareness of the organization so that it can continue its powerful mission,” says Mueller. “With programs like our monthly support group dinner for kinship caregivers, a scholarship fund for kinship kids’ extracurricular activities, and Parent Night Out events with free childcare, Seeds Community Center is supporting kinship families like no one else. I’m honored to play a role in growing the organization and giving kinship caregivers and children what they need to flourish.”
