Kinship Family Enrichment Program
“Kinship Care” families are all around us- in our schools, our neighborhoods and places of worship. Kinship care, or family caring for family, is a out-of-home placement for children in need of safe place.
Children are placed with an aunt, uncle, grandparent, or family friend instead of a foster family. Kinship caregivers step into children’s lives to help provide stability, safety, and security.
Seeds Community Center offers intentional support in the following ways:
Monthly Kinship Dinners
Kinship Family Care Packages
Childcare Scholarships during school breaks
Holiday Blessings
Assistance with navigating needed services
Monthly Kinship Caregiver Dinners
The journey of a kinship family is unique. Meet with other caregivers to connect and learn about available resources in the community. We will have dinner and childcare for your family, so you can focus on finding the encouragement you need.
Fall 2024 Dinners:
Thursday, September 19th, 6 - 8 pm
Thursday, October 17th, 6 - 8 pm
Thursday, November 21st, 6 - 8 pm
Meeting location: 5005 E. Winsett St. (near Broadway & Craycroft)
