“They Need Your Support!” - Masonic Charities of Arizona Boosts Kinship Families with Grant for Seeds Community Center

Seeds Community Center (SCC) has received a $1,500 grant from Masonic Charities of Arizona to further support the needs of kinship families in Southern Arizona.

The Masonic Charities invests in organizations who are engaged in relieving human suffering caused by abuse, neglect, illness or poverty and funds local nonprofits across Arizona, impacting lives in Yuma, Tucson, Flagstaff and everywhere in between.

Local representatives from Masonic Charities with SCC Executive Director, Christe LePeau

Local Masonic Charities representatives, Matt Palmer and Don Lowry joined SCC Executive Director Christe LePeau to learn more about SCC’s programming, meet a volunteer, and tour the space used for monthly kinship support groups.

Lowry shared, “I’ve never heard that term [kinship care] before, but as you were describing the families you serve, two families I know personally immediately came to mind. They need your support!”

Equipping Southern Arizona kinship caregivers with the support and tools they need to thrive is central to our mission. And this gift from Masonic Charities will help us find and serve more grandparents, aunts, and other relatives who have stepped up to say yes to the children who need them in their lives.
